Games consoles in the classroom

Last weeks session was "games day" a lesson designed to see how computer games could aid learning. We played on Prince of Persia, Little Big Planet, Dance Central, Wii Sports and Sherlock Homes.
Most were very different styles of games, although Wii and Dance were both physcial games. Previously I had agreed that games could be used, then the debate changed my mind. However on playing, it can be seen that they can help in certain areas in the classroom. I really enjoyed dancing. Brought out my feminine side.

Blogspot hits the hotspot

I can't exaggerate how much blogspot annoys me. Every week is a password reset, despite writing the username and password on the same pad. Well same time next week, new password. If blogspot was a person I would put him in a crossface crippler and not let him out even if he tapped out.
Last week was really good though, we had a debate, which myself, Roisin, Vicky, Lloyd Christmas and Shona Ameobi lost, to the evil darkside. They had a preprepard opening speech compared to the one we had to cuff. Im not bitter though but I'm never speaking to the others again. We was Team "No Games in School" against the hideous Team "I love games"
Games are for the house and with friends. Not for in school. School is for learning.
Gonna make a computer game myself now. Possibly gonna go multi-platinum by lunch time.

What is a game?

A game is an activity in which a person, either individually or in a team aims to be successful in an activity with pre-determined rules.
